People's Information Technology Programme (PITP)
The People's Information Technology Programme (PITP) is a free IT training initiative by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), supported by the Government of Sindh, to empower the youth of Sindh. It aims to bridge the digital skills gap by offering essential technology education, fostering economic growth, and creating opportunities in the IT industry. The program focuses on equipping underprivileged youth with the tools they need to succeed despite resource challenges.
The People's Information Technology Program (PITP) offers a variety of courses, including Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Development, E-commerce, Python Development, Data Science, Database Administration, Mobile App Development, and Java Development. These courses aim to equip the youth of Sindh with the essential IT skills needed for today’s job market.

The People's Information Technology Program (PITP), supported by the Sindh Government, is being offered across Sindh by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), NED University of Engineering and Technology, and Sukkur IBA University.
Youth aged 22 years or younger from the Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions (except Tharparkar district) who have completed 12 years of education and are not currently enrolled in any full-time university degree program can apply.
Yes! PITP courses are fully funded by the Sindh Government, so there are no costs for eligible participants.
Upon successful completion of your chosen course, you’ll receive a certification jointly approved by the Government of Sindh and Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET).
Each course runs for two months, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday, three hours per day.
Training will be conducted at PITP centers located in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, and Umarkot.
Yes, participants are allowed to complete and receive certification in up to two courses. However, it’s required that the two courses are offered at different times or in different batches to avoid any overlap in schedules.

Registrations for Batch-4 of PITP will open in mid-February 2025, and classes will start on March 10, 2025.
Yes, each course includes assessments and project work to ensure skill development. A final evaluation will determine your certification status.
Students who are currently enrolled in a university degree program are not eligible for PITP certification.
Shortlisted candidates will receive call for the interview via WhatsApp one week before commencement of classes. So please ensure your contact details are correct on the application form.
Candidates must present their original CNIC/Form-B, HSC marksheet, and domicile for verification. Those who cannot provide these documents may not be eligible for enrollment.
