Structure

  • Duration (regular batch): 120 hours over ~2 months, Mon–Fri, 3 hours/day
  • Duration (weekend batch): 120 hours over ~3.5 months, Sat–Sun, 4 hours/day

What is the People’s Information Technology Programme (PITP)?

The People’s Information Technology Programme (PITP) is an initiative of the Government of Sindh to empower youth with in-demand digital skills. It offers free IT certification courses across Sindh through top universities to improve employability, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship.

Which university manages PITP-II for my district?

MUET Jamshoro manages PITP-II across Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Umerkot, Thatta, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Sujawal, Badin, and Hala. NED University oversees Karachi Division and Tharparkar, while Sukkur IBA University covers Sukkur, Larkana, and Shaheed Benazirabad Divisions.

Who can apply for PITP-II?

Applicants must hold a domicile or PRC (Form-C) from any MUET-covered district, be 28 years or younger, and have Matric, Intermediate, or Graduate qualification depending on the selected course. CNIC/B-Form, recent photo, and valid email and mobile number are required.

Is PRC or domicile mandatory?

Yes. Either a domicile or PRC (Form-C) is required to verify Sindh residency. Applications without these documents will not be processed.

Can I apply if my domicile is still in process?

Yes. You may upload a domicile application receipt temporarily during registration, but the official domicile or PRC must be provided before the interview.

What is the age limit for applicants?

The maximum age limit is 28 years on the date of registration.

What courses are offered under PITP-II?

Courses include Web Development, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing & SEO, Social Media Management, Python Development, Graphic Designing & UI/UX, Mobile App Development, Database Management, Data Science, Java Development, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security & Ethical Hacking.

How long is each course?

Each course lasts about two months (~120 contact hours), five days a week (Monday to Friday), three hours per day.

Is attendance mandatory?

Yes. Students must maintain at least 90% attendance to qualify for final certification.

Will I receive a certificate after completion?

Yes. Successful participants receive an official certificate issued by MUET and endorsed by the Government of Sindh.

How can I register for PITP-II?

Register online at pitp.muet.edu.pk. A step-by-step tutorial is available on YouTube. Fill in accurate details and upload all required documents.

What documents are required for registration?

CNIC or B-Form, latest academic marksheet or certificate, domicile or PRC (Form-C), a recent passport-size photo, and valid contact details (email and mobile number).
